How To: Starbucks Pumpkin Sugar Cookie

Hey guys! I have been loving the pumpkin sugar cookie at Starbucks so i thought i would try to make it. Now they didn't look the best, they looked quite horrible actually, but oh my goodness did they taste amazing! So of course i had to share this recipe with you guys, so let's get started.

Cookie Ingredients:
5 Cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 Cups soft unsalted butter
2 Cups granulated sugar
4 eggs

How to make the Sugar cookies
  1. Cream the soft butter with the sugar until the combination is smooth in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add all 4 eggs at one time. Continue to mix. -Add the vanilla.. Continue mixing.
  3. Sift the four, baking powder, and salt together.
  4. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Continue mixing to make sure all ingredients are thoroughly blended.
  5. Wrap the bowl in plastic wrap.
  6. Put the bowl in the refrigerator for about 6 hours or overnight. Check to see if the dough is firm.
  7. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  8. Pull the cookie dough out of the refrigerator and sit it out to soften up a little.
  9. Put flour out on a cutting board or counter, rub flour on the rolling pin, and work some flour into the batter.
  10. Roll the dough out on the cutting board and using your Pumpkin  cookie cutter and start to make your cookies.
  11. Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  12. Move the cut cookie to the parchment lined cookie sheet.
  13. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes.  Check to see if the cookie are thoroughly baked.
  14. Let the cookies cool completely.  (About 10 minutes).
See like i said they looked horrible but they tasted amazing! I'm sure you guys could make these like ten times better haha.

Next you are going to want to melt your chocolate. Add butter and chocolate in your pan. Put the stove on about 4 or 5 and continue stirring till completely melted. Get a icing tool and start spreading the orange chocolate on your cookies. Next melt the dark chocolate and put in a Ziploc bag, cut the tip and use this for your lines and stem. Let the chocolate cool completely so it can harden. Then enjoy you super good Pumpkin sugar cookie! :)

The Truth About Broken Hearts

Do you remember as a kid you would dream of your Fairytale moment, where your true love would sweep you off your feet and you would live happily ever after. Come on we've all had those dreams, but you never really dreamt about the part before your true love found you huh? You never really thought about everything before that one moment did you? When you were a kid you never really thought about how bad a broken heart would feel. I have an older brother, and i have seen him with a broken heart a few times. I remember wondering why he was so sad, how can your heart hurt? I never quite understood, he had no scraps or bruises so how could he be hurting? I don't think you ever truly get how bad a broken heart feels until you get your heart broken. It's hard to understand how much pain and anger you feel for what seems like forever.

 I realize as i am writing this, people don't really talk about this topic very much. But people really should because everyone has, or will have a broken heart sadly. After a while you just learn to deal with it. I know how ridiculous that sounds but it's true, you still have those emotions but you just learn to deal with them. You lay in your bed looking at the ceiling listening to sad songs. When you feel this way there is no amount of money or stuff that could make you happy, it feels like you will never be happy again. You feel like your world has just come to an end, but it will get better. This is where i tell you a bunch of stuff you don't want to hear. 1: It takes time " See, already stuff you don't want to hear."  but everything takes time. I know it's hard to see that everything will work out when you feel like you're dying, but it will be okay.

2: Don't lay in your bed listening to sad songs feeling bad for yourself. Yes you do need to feel sad for a little while, but not forever. 3:It's not the end of the world, i know it feels like it but it will get better. It's hard to look at it that way right now but it takes time. It will never completely go away, you will always have that pain. But it will get better. I promise. 4:There is a perfect person out there for you. You don't have to be looking it will happen when you least expect it, trust me. Last but not least. 5: Learn to love yourself! It feels so good to have that power again, like you feel new. It may be like you have a really good day then you have a bad week, but it will get better. Just take this time to be a whole new person and love yourself.

A Day Out On The Town

I decided to head out and spend the day on the town and have some fun. So i thought i would show you guys what i did today. Lets get started.

First off i had to stop at whole foods because i needed a few things and this is by far my favorite grocery store. I got some boxed water, cause why not haha.

Afterwords i decide to do some window shopping at one of my favorite stores that i can't actually buy anything from because well i don't have that kinda money haha, but i sure do love looking at all the gorgeous things. I was there for a while, I'm pretty sure they wanted to kick me out because i wasn't buying anything haha.

Mirror selfies cause duh lighting was amazing. A little OOTD, My Shirt is from Old Navy, My Hat is from Target, My Jeans are from a thrift store, and you can't see my shoes but i was wearing my White Converse.

After some window shopping i decided to end the day with a cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake, and i had there Halloween one and it was so good, and with some hot coco of course because it was cold.

My beautiful sister being silly while we were waiting for our cupcakes haha. So that was a liitle taste of my day, i hope you enjoyed following me around. :)

How to keep a healthy glow

Hello my lovelies i hope you are having a wonderful day, today's post is about how you can keep that beautiful summer glow all year round. I recently was checking out ALOHA and noticed that they have a lot of very good healthy recipes that can help keep you healthy from the inside out. ALOHA is a company where they make health simple, fun, and accessible by making their wonderful products like bars, tea, and chocolate! :) If you would like to learn more about ALOHA here is the link to their website https://aloha.com/home. So i thought i would give you a few tips and tricks to keep your skin glowing all year round. First i thought i would talk about the importance of giving your skin what it needs from the inside out. If you want that healthy glow all year round there are a few things you need to put inside your body along with things you put on your skin. Like drinking water is one of the best things to flush out all the toxins for good clear skin, and eating plenty of nutrients. So the first thing to help keep that summer glow is this green juice. What you will need:

  • 2 small sweet apples
  • 1/2 large cucumber
  • 1/2 small lime
  • 2 handfuls of kale (or spinach, collard greens, ect.)
  • 2 handfuls of parsley
  1. Add apple, cucumber, lime, kale and parsley to your juicer.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy your wonderful green juice.

This next trick to help keep that glow is this Even & bright pink lemon and mandarin orange scrub from St. Ives. It exfoliates the skin leaving it fresh and glowing. I like to use this every morning to start my day off with bright and beautiful skin. :) I hope you enjoyed those little tips and tricks. :) Thanks for dropping by. :)

Hey guys! This is actually a blogger collab with these bloggers right here royallyrouge.blogspot.com
 So make sure you check out their blogs as well :) I recently went on a trip to the beach so I thought I would share with you guys what I like to bring to the beach in my little beach tote. So let's get started!

Okay so first of all I always love to bring watercolors, notebooks paintbrushes and anything I can do art with because anywhere I am I make sure I have my art stuff cause you never know when you will have an idea. :)

I always have trouble with sunscreen because it always brakes me out but this coppertone  sensitive skin is the only sunscreen that doesn't brake me out so if you have the same problem you should definitely try this one out. Next I always have a chap stick gotta keep those lips hydrated. Then I have some makeup wipes and a little compact mirror.

The last things I have in my bag are some sandals, a sun hat, a towel and  a nice bottle of water cause again you gotta stay hydrated. And that's all you guys! :) I hope you enjoyed going through my beach bag. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day! :) Make sure to check out the blogs above for more posts like this.

May Favorites 2015

Hey everyone! Can you believe how fast this year is going by? It's already almost June and that means May favorites time! :) I don't have a lot this month but why don't we jump right in. :)

Okay so the first thing is this Fossil bag i found at Goodwill i looked them up and the price for this kind is about $150 but i only paid $4.00 and it looks brand new! I am so happy with this find because i have been wearing it all month.

My next 3 favorites are these jewelry pieces i found at a resale store. I like to wear them all together with a simple tee shirt and jeans.

I just love these shoes they are so comfortable. They are from the company Bamboo and i also found them at Goodwill for $4.00 and still had the sticker inside. As you can see i have been doing a lot of thrift shopping lately because i have had good luck at finding really nice brands lately.

Thees are my absolute favorite ice breakers! They are so good.

I found this e.l.f lip exfoliator at my old navy because they have recently started carrying the e.l.f brand and i was so happy because i have been wanting this product for a long time. I have been loving white nail polish this month and this wet n wild one has been my favorite.

My last favorite for may is this notebook i found at a gift shop when i was at the beach a few weeks ago and i have been using it to write all my blog things in it and i love it.

And that's my May Favorites i hope you enjoyed it.

P.S. There will be no post on Monday but come back Wednesday for a special post.

Camper Reveal {Part two}

I really hope you guys enjoyed the first camper reveal! Today I'm sharing a detailed source list for all the goodies inside. We began dreaming of a bohemian vibe for this camper and we wanted it to have a little gypsy appeal but it had to have some vintage thrown in for good measure too. I have never decorated in a bohemian style before and it was challenging for us at first. I was a little uncomfortable with the style because there's no real rules. When styling bohemian, remember "what goes best with a pattern? Why, another pattern of course."

My mom has been swooning over the Joel Dewberry patterns for their fun vintage and colorful vibe. Then, right to Urban Outfitters for the bed duvets and 4 more key pieces.

{before and after of me and my sisters bunk}

This is usually how we go about styling any space, pick out a handful of key pieces that we love and build the rest of the decor around them.

{before and after my mom and dads bunk and table area}

{before and after of kitchen galley}
