A New Year

Hey I know it's a little late because we are already a few weeks into the new year. But even so I thought I would put out some goals and tips to help this year go a little smother. Cause let's face it every time New Years rolls around we get all excited to have a fresh start, but do we ever really stick to those "resolutions"? I had a great start off to the New Year with some really great people. I am excited for this New Year, because I decided to leave the past in 2015. I left all of my baggage behind where it needs to be. I feel like a "fresh start" was exactly what I needed to get my life going again. I am enjoying finding myself (even though it's extremely hard, and stressful) and figuring out what I want to do. Finding yourself can be a very hard thing to do i am slowly figuring out. It's hard to start over, but I feel like a New Year is the perfect time to do that. Okay well let's get into a few of my "New Years resolutions"

  1. Leave the past in the past.
  2. Pray more.
  3. Live healthier.
  4. Read more.
  5. Meet new people, and make new friends.
  6. Figure out who I am.
  7. Go out and enjoy this beautiful earth the lord has given us.
Okay well those are some of my New Years resolutions, let's talk about them. Number 1: I feel like it's something that is hard for a lot of us, hopefully not just me. So I decided to make that something I am going to work on.  Number 2: praying is extremely important and I feel like I don't just sit down and talk to God enough. Number 3: pretty much everyone puts this in their resolutions somewhere. I truly do want to eat, and live healthier. Number 4: I want to read more and just grow my mind. Number 5: I am a very outgoing person and I absolutely love meeting new people, but I also want to make new friends. Okay Number 6: is a really big one, but I feel like i am ready to figure myself out. I want to learn who I am, and well, find myself. Number 7: I want to go out and live more. Put down all the gadgets and go live life in this beautiful world.

Now for a few "tips". Okay if something goes wrong Don't Stress! Just leave the past in the past. Because if we dwell on something for too long it could end up destroying us. Basically do a frozen and •Let It Go•  sorry that song will probably be stuck in your head the rest of the day.  Something I am going to do, and I encourage you to do the same, is write a letter to yourself. You can't open it till New Year's Eve though. Write a letter about yourself now, so you can see how far you've come in a year. My last little tip is don't think about everything so much. Just go out and live your life and if something goes wrong just remember, that it will one day be a lesson and a story. Super cheesy I know, but it's true. But hey we are going to get through this year together! Until next time my lovelies

A Day Out On The Town

I decided to head out and spend the day on the town and have some fun. So i thought i would show you guys what i did today. Lets get started.

First off i had to stop at whole foods because i needed a few things and this is by far my favorite grocery store. I got some boxed water, cause why not haha.

Afterwords i decide to do some window shopping at one of my favorite stores that i can't actually buy anything from because well i don't have that kinda money haha, but i sure do love looking at all the gorgeous things. I was there for a while, I'm pretty sure they wanted to kick me out because i wasn't buying anything haha.

Mirror selfies cause duh lighting was amazing. A little OOTD, My Shirt is from Old Navy, My Hat is from Target, My Jeans are from a thrift store, and you can't see my shoes but i was wearing my White Converse.

After some window shopping i decided to end the day with a cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake, and i had there Halloween one and it was so good, and with some hot coco of course because it was cold.

My beautiful sister being silly while we were waiting for our cupcakes haha. So that was a liitle taste of my day, i hope you enjoyed following me around. :)

Diy sunflower banner

It's Diy time you guys! This diy is super easy and cheep, two of my favorite things. All you are going to need is some fake flowers, a hot glue gun, some scissors and a roll of string.

Okay so step one is measuring the string to the length you want it. Then cut the stems off and place them onto the string.

Step two is gluing them down in the order you placed them.

And this is a picture of the back of the flower, i glued a leaf to every other flower just to add more color.

And there you go a easy and cheep banner to spice up your room for summer. Thanks for stopping by see you soon. :)

Book Review March 2015:365 Blog Topic Ideas.

The book 365 Blog Topic Ideas by Dana Fox is something i have been waiting such a long time for. and it was totally worth the wait. In this book review i am going to tell you a little about it and how i like it. So let's jump right in shall we?:)

The book is very well put together and quite pretty, i love the cover. And it is absolutely wonderful when i need to get a post up and can't figure out what to write about. I like to have a pen and note book handy so when i come across an idea i would like to use,  i write the page number down. One of the great things about the book is that the ideas are customizable to your niche. And there are a few pages in the back specifically for the holidays and i can't wait to use some of those.

I ordered mine from Amazon and it came in a week and it was in perfect condition when i got it. I will link the book and her blog below if you are interested in checking out either of them. The book is just small enough to fit in my bag so i can take it on the go. I think it was a wonderful investment and i will definitely be using it a lot. It is a wonderful little book to have around when you have a case of writers block.

DIY lemon sugar scrub

I love making gifts for people especially around Christmas time. Here's a quick and simple gift you can make.

First here's the list of ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 1/4  Cup of coconut oil
  • 1 Lemon
Melt your coconut oil and pour it over your sugar, then mix.

Zest 1 lemon and put aside.

Juice the lemon and then strain into a bowl to get ride of the pulp.

Add your lemon zest and lemon juice into the bowl of oil and sugar then mix.

If needed add more sugar until you are happy with the consistency.

Then add your scrub into a cute jar and decorate as you please:)

See that wasn't so hard:) And it smells absolutely wonderful.
